Sceneries of the Scattered

Mr. P seemed to know an origin of the village name. On the contrary, he seemed to be a rebirth of the village itself. His partner D slided the ‘Flames of the dead’ on a wooden counter while praising all the souls of the dead friends toward people. On the way back home, V had an awkward feeling as if he would have had been arrested, suddenly. M started running along the Road 153 as he trained with holding up a thick 21kilogram log, because he knew that the feeling of V was right. K couldn’t know anything at all, but he could fall in love with An who was standing in a picture postcard instead. So, K wrote a picture postcard to An. An liked playing mallet golf in her castle very much, and she always enjoyed playing it up to the 18th hole in the season of the cherry blossoms with Ag who was wife of M. However, Ag’s hometown was occupied and her family was scattered.

An Eastern European country, Poland, due to its location in between two biggest empires Germany and Russia, historically experienced the country’s partitions and sometimes the complete disappearance of its sovereign by the powers of these neighbors of the time.Their history, in other words, must have seen those cruel destinies where the boundaries of lebensraum was subject to the determination of the exterior powers. The scars of the history remains everywhere in the town even nowadays, and the youth talks about them as if it happened yesterday.Poland knew what was to be eliminated, thus they used to give an overt definition to the art as it should take a role to conserve and inherit the culture, as the artists strived to complete its mission. The works of this exhibition were embodied based around the history told by seven Polish artists. And these works cut across through Poland, Nakagawa village in Japan, and their present and past as motifs. They aimed to lead us to reconsider the relationships between social and individual boundaries.
